501. R.e.m.i.n.i.s.c.e.n.c.e

They say that you don't make good friends in the virtual world. And we,the current generation is very much ridiculed by our predecessors for the extreme thin line precision at which almost all of our relationships go.I would however differ in this regard.Even though most relationships thrive on a very thin line, unfortunately, some do get above all those notions paving way for ultimate bliss....

And the one I share with the author (Raka/Phoenix) is one such.... :) Ultimate bliss....!!!!!!

I first come across her blog in the last quarter of 2008 and something which attracted me the most right away, was the fact that Raka was supremely modest and frank on all that she had been writing about. And my observation is very well reiterated by the many number of readers who flock around here...That is also because the blog readers have also evolved wonderfully well..Gone are those days, when people used to run behind a touch of flamboyance or gossip or sweet talk.

Plain incidents of one's life serve as a stepping stone in defining most others.

And that has been the most amazing thing behind the woman, herself. And as time went by,I got ever so wonderfully addicted to this space.Reading the Destiny's Child was like reading the newspaper first up in the morning for she was soo very punctual with her posts. The world through her eyes was and still is an extremely wonderful experience. And then came social networking sites to the foray,I found her on one of them and we were friends soon enough. As time went by,so did things fall into place ever-so-wonderfully well.

As things stand today, close to 6 months from our first real conversation on the telephone,I have learned more things from her than I could have ever given her.The humongous multi dimensions of the people inhabiting the earth, the life and times of an Indian girl coupled with the realities that they have to face in life, the flashes of the child in her who wishes to go places fueled by her ambitions, the woman in her who is a great source of emotional life support system to most people around her(including ME),an insight into the life of a perfectionist who has a very good head above her shoulders and whose feet are completely firm on the ground--I could just go on and on and on.The mere fact is,seldom have I been able to see people of the current generation who have had a better outlook on life than raka and in these times,I have never been ashamed to take a leaf out of hers and incorporate them into mine. After all,she is indeed MINE..... :D

And in these times, there sure has been my share of PR disasters(I am GOD) but unlike the previous times where in,I thought it transpired thanks to me,Raka has made me realise that it ain't really so and put a whole new dimension into my thought process..I don't really think about them now anymore, for I have her...forever...and ever....and ever.... :)

And now when I come across myself as one of those very lucky few who have been fortunate enough to adorn this space,I thank her for all the wonderful moments that have transpired in between the two of us in this short span of time, for putting up with me,the number of times I have put her in utter disarray through my umpteen SMS's (yeah, messaging is free for me..Want a bite??get in touch.. :p ) and missed calls and also those phone calls sometimes- just hoping that these times do last forever.....

Love you ever so much.....*Hugs*

Yeah,I am praying for your admission at MASCOM more than anyone else and you know why...!! :D

500. Ek Ladki Hain Deewani Si...

No prizes for guessing whoz that gal... ;) She is our very own RAKA-THE GREAT.

I am not going to tell you guys how we met and how she changed my life...naah! Waisey bhi, tumney kya change kiya, Raka...Hain?? Aisey hi credit mat le lena. :P Aur fir ander ki baatein sabko kyun bataaon?? ;) ;) ;)

Raka told me she will send across a BIG teddy bear and a gold pendant once I write this post and make her MORE famous... as if abhi kuch kamm hain... Anyways, as I always do the job I am paid for with full conviction, I will do this one too. Raka, please send my gifts to my home address.Okay!

Let me go on now. I never believed in Virtual Dosti and steer clear of people I meet online until the Raka-bug got to me. The first time we started talking, I almost wanted to run away, thinking this gal will definitely make me tell her everything abt me. You see, she has THAT magic to her. So, I tried to avoid falling in to her sweet trap a lot, but as they say rest is history.

Now I am completely under her spell. Mujhey aur kuch samajh nahi aaya... so I wrote this... if you guys understand it...Good... If you can't..Please try to... else Raka will not send my gifts... :D

Ek Ladki Hain Deewani Si... Ek Ladkey Pe Woh Marti Hain

Pyaar karti bhi hain... Phir bhi har din ladti hain...

Chalo ladd bhi li... fir bhi do din baad usi ke saath beach ki sair karti hain....LOL

Confusion personified hain... shayad isiliye itni apni-si lagti hain...

Kabhi khushi Kabhi Gham ka live example... kabhi hasti hain aur kabhi jhat se ro padti hain... OFFO

Samik, bahut hua...ab aur nahi... yeh keh key har baar kuch decide karti hain...

Fir bhi dil se bholi hain naa... usi ke pyaar mein jaag subah 4:30 tak phone pe baat karti hain...

Sapney kitney hain iski aankhon mein... jaisey har roz aankhon mein kajal ke saath ek naya sapna bharti hain...
Har Sapna sachcha hoga iska... iski poori friend list yehi dua karti hain... {HAIN KI NAHI??}

Chanchal sa mann hain iska... dosti mein jaan deti hain...aur dosti mein half-murder bhi kar deti hain....haha

Kabhi ek dum bachchi si... aur kabhi badon ko bhi samajhdari mein fail karti hain...

Kabhi thandi thandi dilli ki sard hawaa jaisey... aur kabhi kolkatta ko humidity si chik chik karti hain...

Kabhi Meethi Sandesh maafik aur Kabhi Paanipuri si chatpati baatein karti hain...

Kaun hain yeh... kaisi hain... saari nazrein yehi sawaal karti hain...

Kabhi bheed mein bheed jaisi aur kabhi sirf apni dhun mein chalti hain...

Thodi si pagli hain... Thodi si pagli... Par fir bhi khaas lagti hain...

Lagta hain jaan liya isey poori tarah jab... usi pal fir sey ek paheli si lagti hain...

Jab bhi muskuraaney ka mann hota hain... har muskurahat mujhey tere hi jaisi lagti hain...Oye! Raakey!!

Itna sab likhney ka gift milega... iski possibility mujhey kaafi kumm lagti hain...

Fir bhi... discount diya... afterall tu meri har post padkey comment karti hain...LOL

Dosti mein number one hain...bina sochey samjhey...sabki problem solve karti hain..

Jaadu ki choti si pudiyaa hain yeh... aansun lekey sabkey...unki life mast khushiyon se bharti hain...

Naam iska bigaad de koi toh talwaar lekey uskey peechey lagti hain...

Har roz ek kachcha pakka sa post bunkar usey schedule karti hain... :P

Sochney mein number one hain...pata nahi... din bhar kitni planning karti hain...

Achchi hain mann se tu... isliye yeh HARSHITA bhi aaj tujhey salute karti hain...

Hamesha aisey hi mast rehney ka... aur sab mein pyaar baantney ka... yehi order karti hain...

Tere sapney fultoo poorey hongey... yeh punjaaban yehi dua karti hain...

Arey yaar... ab itna likhaa... iskey liye baaki sab gifts ke saath ek chocolate bhi banti hain... (Pls bhej dena..haan)

499. To Raka, with love

When Raka asked me to write her 499th post, honestly I felt honored.

I have known you for not a very long time, but this little time has been worth that I feel proud to call you my friend.
I still remember the first post I read on your blog. It talked of your dream home. A Minimally finished Apartment on the top floor of a skyscraper from where you could see the lights of the city. I liked the idea and instantly followed your blog.

I used to read the blog religiously. And as you narrated, I found out you were younger than I am, but your views, thoughts, ideologies and most importantly as I always say the frequency, were quiet near mine.

Gradually, we were on each others friend lists on gtalk and since then there is no looking back.
I see in you a strong character, a determined soul and an emotional heart.

Do you remember the first time we caught each other online?
I cant recall whether it was 2 am or 3 till we chatted and chatted. I mean amazement was when you are talking to a person for the first time, you don't tell her almost all your darkest secrets and you don't share with her your deepest feelings.

I never knew I could be so very good friends with someone in the very first instance.

I spent great time with you girl, those philosophical discussions, those naughty rap sessions, those useless conferences, those silly talks, those mood lifting parleys, the total girl stuff, everything.

And when you asked me for a girl-blog, I took not a nanosecond to say "I am in" and we landed on up to this Femme Fatale Idea. Since then, whatever you call it, vicious circle, loop or cycle, this relationship of ours is such.

I love the way you say " I am just a phone call away" and "I am there for you na"..

The geographical distance doesn't make much sense to us. But I'll soon come down to see you for sure and remember your promise to visit me after your exmas.

I know I may be sounding like Im writing a testi for my guy, but you are equally loved.. ;)
I really wish to God to bless you with his choicest blessings for you are worth it..

Love always....

498.PHOENIX...ITS FOR YOU...!!!

Proud to be her friend
Her attitude, i admire
Over time, we became friends

Every chat was special for us

Nights become short, when we speak

I know her as the Destiny's Child

Xpressing her inner self

Ringing the bells of love
Always she makes us think

King of her heart, is special

Always be together, i wish

Many a times, i find her in stress

U know, she can manage it fine

Journey of her life, she decided

All of them, she managed to cross

Memories, she have in loads

Drop them will never she
Am one of them i am sure

River of love i wud like to gift her...!!!

497.THE GAME OF SEDUCTION

As I walk into your room tonight I feel a difference in the air…the moonlight is not pure…it shows me the hidden paths into the forbidden…its silver beams reflecting off your fair skin… black magic hidden in your fragrance… devouring senses…tempting judgment…darkness is taking over my sanity…making me succumb to the desires of mortals…

It’s the game of seduction… the master becomes the slave and the slave the master…each waits for discovery… seducing the forbidden…plunging into the illusion…its only a wait till the true form of each is revealed under that false skin each wears…

I have already put down my weapons of words…all I am waiting for now is to die in your arms…

The love bite is fatal…as I fall deeper in the trenches of lust…you make me human while still being an angel yourself…

Deception…Temptation…Seduction…

Salvation…Resurrection…

The final step…Hesitation…Game On!!!

[When Raka told me to do a guest post on her Blog I really wanted to write something about her but then it occured to me that no matter what I write no words can do justice to the wonderful and the adorable person she is. So instead I thought of writing something that has never been associated with her Blog. But for all those who don't know she is quite a temptress ;)]

A Lil bit of everything

Brace yourselves guys this is a really random post... :)

i have hardly a clue what i am writing now.. no i haven't lost it.. yet. but its just that i broke my glasses, and it took a really long time to get it fixed. so im virtually blind right now, my glasses come only tomorrow or day after tomorrow, so that means i can bunk studies some more.. :)

No i'm not celebrating summers here. its just that the heat here in Kolkata has become a record of sorts. its at 41.5 degrees with a humidity of 98% with no signs of rain. the Met too doesn't even make their usual fake promises of rain, which could however have pacified us. with loo blowing, and sweat making skin sticky and wet, its a terrible situation. i just hope the rains come soon, for without the respite surviving this heat will be tough, as already 5 people have died.

I have been hooked to watching Mtv Roadies and this time it was a nail biting finish. and by far the best in roadies. okay don't cringe because its a reality show and all that. not all are bad. yea roadies may seem like a show for wannabes and with Palak you cant really blame people for berating the show; but however there are the lines of Nauman and Kiri who show their true worth. the best part of the finale was,Kiri choose someone equal to fight instead of a weak contender [with a lot of brainstorming by Raghu and Rajiv] the task that both had to do in the finale was really exhilarating and i was in the edge of my seat. its a task that could be performed only on the basis of cheer passion and will to win. and Nauman did just that. he slipped and fell twice, he was cheered by only a few, he could have given up but he tried and Kiri put up a worthy fight but when Nauman lifted the flag and then collapsed having won the battle, i realized something for myself. if you have the passion in you, and the will to succeed, nothing ever is a hindrance, is not really abut winning, but its about the passion with which you do it, and the satisfaction you receive when you know you have done your best.

I think im destined to be a mom much before i actually give birth to my offspring, first my niece and then Samik. Samik has always been childish and had never portrayed any maturity but what he has been up to lately is beyond everything. he has been making really discouraging remarks about my choice of career etc, moreover he makes this insane demand of me 'taking him with me' to the college i will be taking admission. i mean this is bizarre!! here i am trying my best to make my dreams come true using what maybe my last opportunity and he chooses just this very time to be all lovey dovey and like a baby he keeps cribbing for my attention. and trust me he can be a handful. so right now I'm all smothered almost chocked with the attention im getting. and no its not as cute as it sounds, for right now i could do with some moral support and understanding than having to deal with a baby. thank god at least he is toilet trained! phew! god help me!!

this is my 496th post! yay!! look out for this space for some surprises soon... :)I'm about to take a sabbatical soon!!

End Of An Era

In our first year @CCD

So finally college ended and relief washed over. the farewell was indeed good and honestly it touched all of us. what was more touching is that, this is the first time our department hosted the farewell and probably the best part was, a lively and great batch like UG1 put up a superb, well organized farewell, with the right amount of fun and emotions. what is noteworthy is, farewells are usually organized by the second senior most batch, that is the UG2's but honestly we would rather, the UG1's did it for they did a mighty good job and the effort really touched us. what i absolutely loved was the fact, that usually the Pg2's are given a lot of importance as their whole class is leaving college and the UG3's are left out of it presuming that they will continue with the masters here; and the outgoing students are left out [likes of me] But this time UG3's were really included or to put it mildly it was 'our 'show.

As the magic fades... after the trip to Vizaq

one of the main high points was of course the slide shows that they put up. they were amazing, and the effort that these people put in was really commendable. cheers and hoots reigned during the slide show each of us were really touched and a little teary eyed too. i was there with Shubhankar sitting on a stair, wearing a saree that got me drenched in sweat, with the heat upped by just 2 AC's and soo many people; we sat squashed due to lack of space, silently talking while the show was on, and we were really counting our last 'official' moments together. the feelings that coursed through were diverse, a little nostalgic, a lot hopeful, and apprehension about my future. the tears did come. a lone tear trickled down as one of my favourite teachers, SC mam spoke about her experiences about all of us and it was one very emotional moment. talking to teachers, summing up our experiences with them, amidst proclamations by the rest, that will stay back to bug them some more, was one helluva tough time, i almost choked when i informed some of my teachers of my decision of not going back. but all in all i just couldn't wait to walk away from the crowd of known faces and to forget they ever existed. all in all i must say, that this farewell even though was an awesome experience its intensity lacked the ones i went through when i was in my 10th standard.

Then UG2, on our way back to Vizaq from Arraku Valley

Now i feel a whole lot responsible about my life and the choices I'm about to make. and even though its a lot scary something in me tells me 'I'm ready!' my study leave has started and I'm like really busy with dispatching the last of the admission forms, making drafts etc, now all i need is to concentrate on my studies; to devote time between studying for my semesters and also for my entrance exams. yeah it will be tough i know but I'm prepared to struggle to get to my goals, for i know achieving my dreams with be worth all this toil and hardship. and that does not mean that I'm not going to blog mind you.. :)

come on now wish me luck!!

P.S- the pics haven't been transferred from the cam yet, some problem with that. but then i will put it up soon. sorry for the delay. for now these are some of my great memories of JU.

P.P.S- no more posts on college. promise!! :) even i have had enough.. im too giddy by now.. :)

Beginning to an End

i was so looking forward to the college to end.but what i had not anticipated even in my wildest dreams that college coming to an end, would mean not seeing you in college everyday.

those conversations through scribbling on chits,
those moments of absolute bliss,
the study sessions,
the urgent phone calls,
and midnight texts
the jittery nerves.
the silent gazes and hasty hugs.
the scribbles and doodles,
the fake tattoos and autographs
the canteen talk or bitching sessions.
the reminiscence of happier times,
the tears of anguish and distress
the smiles and promises of a better tomorrow.
will be missed.

love is hardly the word, that can express just what i feel for you, thank you for being my friend.

its my last day at college tomorrow, Wednesday is our farewell. the day i have been waiting for is here. from here, it will be an onward journey and i will make good things happen.
