1. for me palak paneer tops the list.. one should have it in winter because palak is nice and fresh then.. and they are simply yummy
2.shukto-this is a bengali dish which is made from posto and veggies and is a little bitter.3.neem begun- neem leaves and brinjal, this is bitter too but then totally great.
4.baingan ka bharta-you need to roast the brinjal, add corriander and onnions with oil, and salt and makes for an amazing meal with roti.. not a bengali dish though but we have them too..
5.aloo dom-this is one of my favourite and dad loves the aloo dom i make.. it is really sumptuous if it is had with puri or luchi in bengali..

Before I say anything, you really have random hours to post your posts!! But this place all about being random, ain't it??
You left me so high and dry after yesterday's post, I was bugging my aunt to make a few Bong dishes for today!! But now you gave me actual stuff to try. Only 2 and 3 are yet to be tried. The rest I've been cooking for years now!! :D
Is this coincidence or is it just us?? Bhurta was for breakfast yesterday. (if you think I'm making it up, I can send you a pic of the left over Bhurta!! :P Tastes great though, why not?? Who made it??)
And are you kidding me with Rosogolla not on your list, that's the only other thing than Aloo Dum (Dom!! I love it when I hear someone say that!!) that was on my mind when I asked you for veggie dishes (maybe you should come up with 5 sweet dishes!! I heard you guys make really great ones!!)
See you when I see you... :)
